The small book “Thousands of Voices from Everywhere – Women * Tell and Share Stories”, tells stories about wishes, courage, hope, and strength – stories, for example, about experiences in the home country, about the flight to Germany and the challenges of life in exile.
The idea for this book came from our project” Story Sharing “, a collective work of women * with migration and refugee experiences to biographical self-empowerment.
For a year we met women * in different community accommodations in Pankow, together we have stories read, heard, exchanged, and written. Stories, for example about experiences in the home country, about the flight to Germany, and the challenges of life in exile.
Together with the storytellers * we decided to make a little book about some of these stories about desires, courage, hope, and strength to share with you. ”
The project and the publication were funded by the district office Pankow of Berlin within the framework of the master plan for integration and security 2018 and the federal program “Live Democracy!”.
