With the EMPOWER-NET project, we are establishing a strategic partnership between Centro Penc in Palermo, Action for Women in Athens, and our organization in Berlin. This collaboration aims to strengthen the expertise, professionalism, and outreach of migrant-centered non-profits while expanding their transnational networks. By bringing together organizations from Berlin, Athens, and Palermo, the project enhances trauma-informed support for FLINTA* (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender) refugees and migrants who have experienced violence, racism, discrimination, and (post)traumatic disorders. Through skill-sharing and best practice exchange, we seek to build organizational capacity and develop innovative trauma-informed workshops incorporating art, body, and sound therapy. These workshops will provide both FLINTA* individuals and professionals with therapeutic tools and the confidence to cultivate grassroots support networks.

The official kick-off event and project presentation of EMPOWER-NET will take place in Berlin on April 2nd, from 3 to 6 PM at Trixiewiz. This event is open to individuals working in the fields of migration, FLINTA* refugee support, psychotherapy, or trauma-informed care or those interested in these topics who wish to join this international network.
